Lanessan château stands majestically over the commune of Cussac-Fort Médoc in the heart of Haut-Médoc. The building overlooks an 8-hectare park, an ideal place for a lovely ramble.

The vintages bearing the label “Château de Lanessan” are 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot and are distinguished by their Complexity, Elegance and Harmony. Château Lanessan wines bring you to a happy place and deliver flavours conjured by a rich and passionate history.

Discover an authentic family estate dating back to the late 18th century, home to the Gironde’s most beautiful vineyards, a neo-Tudor château with remarkable architecture the horse museum with stables and saddlery and a wonderful collection of 19th-century horse-drawn vehicles and vintage cars, and a garden abounding with trees and flowers.

The Lanessan estate was bought in 1793 but the château was built in 1878. In the last 19th century the château was enhanced by an English garden, a park with trees and Dutch-style glasshouses.

The gardens and park are open to the public: :

Every day by appointment from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 6pm.

The tour takes about 1 hour to cover the park and gardens.
